SPLL Managers/Coaches and Volunteers,
Here is a simplified list of protocols that we should all (managers, coaches, volunteers, players, parents, and extended friends and family) abide by and reinforce with our teams. We have taken Little League International’s Best Practices: On-Field Guidance, as well as LA County’s Best Practices, and added a few details to make this season successful.
- STAY HOME if you are sick or have come in contact with someone who has COVID-19.
- All managers/coaches, volunteers, umpires, and spectators are required to WEAR A FACE MASK, at all times, and adhere to SOCIAL DISTANCING, when allowed.
- All managers/coaches and players are required to wear a face mask while in the dugout. The dugout is reserved for manager/coaches and players ONLY.
- Players can use part of the stands as an extended dugout to promote social distancing.
- Spectators should limit the use of the stands and adhere to social distancing guidelines and watch from the outfield.
- HAND SANITIZERS will be available at the snack bars and in the dugouts for teams to use. Please use them regularly.
- DISINFECTING wipes or disinfecting cleaner and paper towels will be available at each dugout. Coaches/Managers, please wipe down the dugout bench at the beginning and at the end of each game.
- There is NO FOOD allowed in the dugouts other than personal drinks. If possible, please label drinks. Please DO NOT SHARE.
- NO HANDSHAKES after the game. Line up outside your dugouts and tip your hats to each other as a sign of good sportsmanship.
- PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE. We have all been going through this pandemic for over a year now. Please do your part to stop the spread and keep us all healthy.
